Barkers Blackberry Hill Winery
 859-428-0377    Web Page
In 1980 Jimmy Barker planted 3,000 thornless (hybrid) blackberry bushes on a rolling, four-acre- hillside in Northern Kentucky. When Kentucky legalized farm wineries in 1990, Jimmy applied for and was granted the first permit in Kentucky. The winery now sells Blackberry and Cherry Wine and Mead (Honey) Wine.

Barker's offers wine tasting daily. Group tours of winery are available by appointment. 'He-pickers' and 'she-pickers' (don't laugh, that's what Jimmy calls 'em) will find plump, juicy berries in July and August. You can bring your own containers or purchase one of theirs.
