Barkers Blackberry Hill Winery

	In 1980 Jimmy Barker planted 3,000 thornless (hybrid) blackberry bushes on a rolling, four-acre- hillside in Northern Kentucky. When Kentucky legalized farm wineries in 1990, Jimmy applied for and was granted the first permit in Kentucky. The winery now sells Blackberry and Cherry Wine and Mead (Honey) Wine. Barker's offers wine tasting daily. Group tours of winery are available by appointment. 'He-pickers' and 'she-pickers' (don't laugh, that's what Jimmy calls 'em) will find plump, juicy berries in July and August. You can bring your own containers or purchase one of theirs.

Burlington Antique Show

	The Burlington Antique Show is one of the largest of its kind in the region, attracting hundreds of dealers. It is held the 3rd Sunday of the month (April through October) at the Boone County Fairgounds (5819 Idlewild Rd.) in Burlington. The show runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Early Buying beginning at 5:00 a.m. Show Dates for 2007 will be posted as soon as they are announced.

	Located in the Ohio River Valley on scenic Route 8, McGlasson Farms occupies 120 acres of vegetables, orchards, and wooded hills. The sixth-generation family farm offers strawberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, green beans, potatoes, cabbage, apples, peaches, watermelons and many other vegetables from our roadside market. The fall season brings pumpkins, apple cider, cornstalks, gourds and other seasonal decorations. In addition, we offer rough-sawn and dressed hardwood lumber from our sawmill. The farm is located three miles west of Anderson Ferry on Route 8 (5832 River Rd.) and is open daily from June to November.

From natural homemade fudge from New Hampshire (where it is still cooked on an open fire in a copper kettle) to Ruth Hunt candies made in Kentucky. Handmade Kentucky baskets by Miss Ginny and Mr Eddie Compton (who makes egg baskets). Lots of handcrafted items right from Walton and surrounding areas. Lady Bugs Blessing soaps and lotions from Frankfort. You will find specialty coffee, and orgainc teas. In the Pantry area Amish jams from Holmes County, OH, and Amish popcorn from Berne, IN. There is an Americana and Primitive Room and of course lets not forget Bud's Bargain Corner where you will find many bargains. Simple Times is located on Main St. right off of I-75 Exit 171. Take Mary Grubbs Hwy then left at 2nd set of lights. Simple Times General Store will be on the right diagonally across from the Library. The shop has its own parking and the hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday.
